Land Acknowledgement

The Fort William Family Health Team operates on the unceded territory of the Fort William First Nation and within the Robinson Superior Treaty area.  We acknowledge our position as settlers and guests and that our ancestors would not have survived without the guidance and generosity of the Indigenous people.  We also acknowledge the historical atrocities that Indigenous people have suffered at the hands of settlers and its persistent effects to this day.  While we are not always skilled at recognizing the ways we contribute to racism, we are actively learning and growing our skills so we can care for all people who walk through our doors with respect, compassion and professionalism.
